Lynn Revak has over 51 years of experience in the field of turbomachinery in a wide range of responsibilities and locations. He has been responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of gas and steam turbines in the United States and North Africa. He has traveled extensively as an expert consultant to major corporations in problem solving, machinery adaptation, equipment relocation and system integration work.
He participated in the Turbomachinery Symposium of Texas A&M University serving as a discussion leader and lecturer over a period of more than 20 years. He has presented lectures on turbomachines in the U.S., Europe and the Far East.
Mr. Revak has served as engineer, engineering manager, general manager and owner of several turbomachinery corporations. He was the owner of seven companies in La Porte, Texas, all associated with turbomachinery until their sale in 2008 to Hoerbiger Corporation. These corporations performed repairs, and modifications to turbomachines. The Revak companies also manufactured a wide range of Turbomachinery parts including governors, bearings, seals, shafts, valve parts and other similar items.
In 2004, Mr. Revak turned over the day-to-day operation of his companies to a works manager and was then employed doing conceptual engineering and financial work and acting as a consultant to several companies.
Mr. Revak holds two patents, one for an electronic hydraulic turbine governor, and one for a special turbine oil pump. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University.
